Previous years for the 50 francs were made of CuNi (KM#6), and 100 francs was made of Nickel (KM#4).
The 2012 & 2013 items are reported to be new material, iron with galvanized nickel, so they are new types.
For the new 50 francs, it's weight is 4.82 grams instead of the previous 5.00. Besides, the 100 francs weights 6.70 grams, while the nickel type was 7.00. The other small golden denominations haven't changed.

Although not a new type or subtype, this information can be valuable for those collectors interested in Mint and Mint Mark varieties: the Chilean 5 pesos 2012 issue bears the logo of the Spanish Mint, the "Crowned M":
This 2011 item is quite different in design from previous ones (1998 & 2000), so maybe we it must be considered a new type.
Comments from Wolfgang Schuster: It is not made of CuNi, but of austhenitic steel (which is NOT magnetic). Another difference is that the 2011 has reeded edge, while the earlier years have plain edge with lettering. So it definitely IS a new type!

75th anniversary of World War II: Wait for me, Daddy
It is perhaps the most famous photograph taken in Canada during the Second World War: a five-year-old boy breaks away from his mother's grasp to run after his father as he marches off to war. Taken in New Westminster, B.C. in the fall of 1940, "Wait for me, Daddy" continues to resonate as a snapshot of the war's impact on Canadians and the personal sacrifices they made.
